The first Thriving Communities Project Grants were awarded to five teaching artists and artist teams across the state of Vermont and Courageous Stage is fortunate enough to be recognized in this elite group of teaching artists and change-makers. Over the course of 2019-2020, Courageous Stage will create a place-making project that will address a local challenge related to climate change.
We will partner with Bee the Change to address the issue of rapidly declining polinators and how humans occupy space. We are excited to engage a wide cross-section of the Middlebury and greater Addison County community in this project that will also be a part of the One World Festival of Arts and Imagination in July 2020.
